Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is Brainobrain? ?

A program for development of the capabilities and skills of children (at the age of 4-14) with two main goals:

    - Whole-brain development

    - Development of personality

  2. What is the meaning of the whole-brain development?

As we all know, our brain is divided in two hemispheres, left and right. Each hemisphere performs a separate function:

    Left hemisphere:

    - Analysis, facts

    - Calculating

    - Verbal, words

    - Logic, rational

    Right hemisphere:

    - Visual

    - Creativity, art

    - Intuition, feelings

    - Memory

There is a domination of the left brain hemisphere in most people, generally due to the traditional methods of learning which results in an incomplete progress of the right hemisphere. Moreover, many studies have shown that there is a poor use of the connections between the left and right hemisphere (the brain synapses).

The Brainobrain Program focuses on activation of both sides of the brain simultaneously because that could contribute to most successful activity and production.

  3. Which methodology is used to secure a whole-brain development?

The name of the methodology is VAK:

    - visual (seeing)

    - auditory (hearing)

    - kinesthetic (touching/sensing)

It has been proven that the fastest and most effective learning or memorization occurs if the information is received simultaneously from two or more senses (seeing, hearing, touching). The combining of these techniques with the abacus results in activation of the connections between the left and right hemisphere of the brain and whole-brain activity.

  4. What is Abacus?

The Abacus is antique, Asian textbook of arithmetic, which had been used through centuries prior to invention of the modern numerical system.

Today, it is used for mental gymnastics. The Abacus, as a tool used along with the VAK- methods and mathematics, contributes for complete brain development of children. They learn how to visualize the balls of the abacus they see (visually) and by following the magic words (by hearing), they perform the concrete task and they move the balls (touch, kinesthetically) in order to obtain an answer, at the same time, performing a great brain training which leads to ingenious abilities.

  5. What is NLP and how does it help children?

The neuro- linguistic programming is a science for the thought process, communication and behavior. It refers to the manner of coding of information and reproducing of perfect behavior which would provide us a consistent achievement of goals and desired results. NLP is a process of modeling of the conscious and subconscious patterns (models) which are unique and individual for each person in the manner of realization of the high potentials.

By the use of NLP techniques, children are stimulated to think positively, to acquire a larger self-confidence, motivation and focus in relation to attainment of their purposes. By enhancing the awareness for themselves and the environment, the children should be resolute for their own actions and become successful leaders.

  6. What are the effects of creative visualization?

Children understand things better and more effectively through visualization.

Not only does it improve the general comprehension of children, but they also enjoy in the activity no matter if it is consisting of reading, mathematics or writing.

  7. Who are we?

We are skillful trainers who provide education through interaction and fun. The education is based on:

    - Conscious perception of the information which comes from visual, auditory and kinesthetic senses

    - Physical brain exercise

    - Conceptualized learning

    - Conscious observation in order to improve the reading, listening and numerical skills

  8. Which products are expected from the program?

    - Concentration and focus

    - Memory

    - Imagination and creativity

    - Purposeful observation, speed and accuracy

    - Superior numerical skills

    - Leadership, determination, self-confidence…

  9. What is the dynamics of the program?

    - 10/12 levels- each lasts for 3/4 months

    - Once a week- 2 hours (120 min)

    - After each level, the student takes an exam and obtains an international certificate

    - Group of 10-15 learners, with an individual approach to each child

    - Children at the age of 4-14 who are able to respond to simple questions, to move the balls of the abacus, to count to 10 and copy simple written symbols

  10. Is the program aimed for all children?

The program is designed for all children who have normal physical, emotional and mental development. It is also for children who have a high IQ and are marvelous in mathematics. Hence, the program focus is on the whole- brain and personal development, acquirement of life skills and abilities which the children will use further in life, in every academic field or activity.

  11. What is the optimal time for exercise of the child?

15 minutes in a day and regular attendance of the classes.

  12. What is the role of the parent?

The biggest support that the parent can offer is to ascertain the significance of the program and then help their child to obtain the best of it. The support is the most significant in the first level when the child should be fostered to exercise at home regularly, by using the accurate movements and uttering of the magic words.
